E Steel Sdn. Bhd. is a specialist supplier of 304 and 304L stainless steel plates in Malaysia, supplying customers across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, and Singapore.
We stock a wide range of thicknesses and dimensions, and offer precision bandsaw cutting to your exact size — no minimum order required.
Whether you search for SS304, SUS304, AISI 304, EN 1.4301, DIN 1.4301, UNS S30400, or X5CrNi18-10 — they are all the same material. We supply them all.
What Is 304 / 304L Stainless Steel Plate?
304 stainless steel is the most widely used grade of austenitic stainless steel in the world.
It contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, giving it excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and strong weldability.
304L is the low-carbon variant (max 0.03% carbon vs 0.08% in standard 304), making it the preferred choice for welded components where sensitisation and intergranular corrosion must be avoided.
Both grades are sold and stocked as 304/304L dual-certified plates in most cases, meaning the material meets both specifications simultaneously.
Grade Equivalents — All the Ways Customers Search for 304
Customers across Malaysia and Singapore often search using different material code systems depending on their industry standard or drawing requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is SUS304 the same as SS304 and AISI 304?
Yes. SUS304 is the Japanese JIS designation, SS304 is a common trade abbreviation, and AISI 304 is the American standard.
They all refer to the same 18/8 austenitic stainless steel grade.
Q: What is the difference between EN 1.4301 and AISI 304?
They are equivalent grades. EN 1.4301 (also written as DIN 1.4301 or X5CrNi18-10) is the European designation for AISI 304.
The chemical composition and mechanical properties are essentially the same.
Q: What is UNS S30400 / S30403?
UNS (Unified Numbering System) is the American cross-reference numbering system.
S30400 = AISI 304, S30403 = AISI 304L. If your drawing calls for S30400 or S30403, we can supply it with the correct MTC.
Q: Can you cut 304 plates to custom sizes?
Yes. We offer bandsaw cut to size service for all thicknesses. Send us your cutting list (dimensions and quantity) and we will provide a quotation.
Q: Do you supply to Singapore?
Yes. We regularly supply stainless steel plates to customers in Singapore via freight forwarding.
Q: What is the minimum order?
There is no strict minimum order quantity. We supply from a single cut piece to full plates and bulk orders.
Q: Can you provide Mill Test Certificates (MTC)?
Yes. All our plates come with 3.1 MTCs traceable to the original mill, compliant with EN 10204.
Q: What surface finish do your 304 plates come in?
Our standard stock is No.1 finish. This is the most common finish for engineering and industrial applications.
